Frequently Asked Questions

  • In general, there aren’t many significant differences. You will easily be able to ride the streets of Spain without much adaptation. The signage you would need to know, speed limits, motorway directions, stop and yield signs are essentially the same.

  • Difficulty level varies depending on which region you are riding in, but most of the routes can be navigated by all skill levels. And Spain’s roadways are well-maintained, aided by the fact that Spain’s climate rarely goes below freezing - outside the mountain regions.

  • Weather-wise, Spain can essentially be ridden year round outside of the mountain regions where temperatures can drop below freezing. In August, the temperature in the south and central Spain can get high, making riding potentially uncomfortable. Reference our guide on Spain’s riding seasons for more information:

Guided motorcycle tours can be quite expensive $2,000-$4,000 for 1-2 week tours, but this is inclusive of most travel needs. If you go independent, you pay for motorcycle rental (~€100-150/day), accommodations, and food. But you save quite a bit of money and you can craft your own experience.
