I’ve built a career over the past 10 years during the startup/tech boom, working sales and marketing gigs in the travel/tourism industry. This period in my life offered unique devlopemental experiences from integral part on the inner workings of small organizations to living in different countries afforded to me by the increased prevelance of remote work in the tech sector.
There has been a shift in my priorities as I breach my mid-thirties: “The work activities I am engaged in, do I find them meaningful? Do they fulfill me?” To these questions, I found it difficult to answer in the affirmative. It’s harder to be emotionally connected to your work when your activities ultimately benefit the shareholders most.
So it’s this persepctive shift that has funded the basis to initiate this passion project which I’ve called Moto Espana. The idea was to take my creative interests in video production and writing and blend it with my love of riding motorcycles and the explorative aspect of travel. Rather than go down the route of travel blogger recounting daily goings-on, a path well-traveled, I felt a resource for other motorcyclists would have greater meaning.
I’ve set out to ride every country road in the region to curate guides for the ‘best’ routes that give a good representation of each unique sub-region via roads that offer a dynamic and challenging riding experience. As I iterate on this concept, I would love to speak with my audience. So if you have questions on riding the Barcelona region, please send me an email, or we can schedule a video call.
